Apple Core - Sandy Van Tilborg

Sandy Van Tilborg ‘s ‘Apple Core’ pays homage to American pop artists Claes Oldenburg and Coosje van Bruggen. Created during her tenure at the Rocky Bay Studio as part of a collaborative art installation project, this piece stands as a testament to her creative ability.  

Sandy's lively recreation of Oldenburg and van Bruggen's work unfolded over two months, showcasing her dedication to detail and artistic flow. A closer inspection reveals the intimate expression of her personality evident in each brushstroke.  

Sandy Van Tilborg departed from our midst this year, and this display serves as a poignant memorial to her and the core artistic values she brought to life within the studio. Join us in honouring the legacy of a remarkable artist through this sculpture.
