Beach Umbrellas

This piece was made as a result of a conversation about the kind of things you see on a beach. With beach umbrellas being the most eye catching representation of a busy beach. It was decided to remove the glass and have the umbrellas spaced randomly around the edge. With the umbrellas hot glued in place several layers of sand where built up with a thinned PVA and sand mixture. Sand was piled up around some umbrella poles as if to hold them in place and set with super glue.
