’Under the Sea’
(Acrylic on canvas, 1170mm x 1170mm)
This piece ‘Under the Sea’ has taken Russel approximately 9 months to create. It is inspired by underwater sea creatures swimming in their natural habitat.
Russel started his painting career at around 20 years of age. As an artist, he paints exquisite large scale, detailed paintings. His unique style of painting means he will spend long periods one piece of artwork at a time. Russel uses sponges, wire and paintbrushes to create his works. He enjoys his own space, and will often turn his hearing aids off
during classes so he can give his work his full attention.
